Bloody Mary

Clouds decided to unite,
And pour until midnight ..
Got done with my chore,
When heard a knock on the door ..
A woman wearing bright red,
Soaked but was well bred ..

Wine from the potato,
Juice from the tomato,
And some salt & pepper,
All put in a shaker ..
And I ask her,
How about another ..

Bloody Mary ..
It's dark and red,
But it ain't blood ..
Bloody Mary ..
It'll get to your head,
Faster than a flood ..

We spoke by the fire,
Ask if she wants to retire ..
She wanted to play a game,
Refused to give me the name ..
It was just an urban legend,
About a lady seeking revenge ..

Candles we lit,
She moved closer by a bit ..
My neck felt her breath,
It felt cold as death ..
I stood on the floor,
Spoke to the mirror ..

Bloody Mary ..
Show yourself to me,
Hide no more ..
Bloody Mary ..
I need to see,
You're just a lore ..

For thine protection I now pray,
Let all evil turn away,
Protect me night, Protect me day,
And keep misfortune well at bay.

Bloody Mary ..
Bloody Mary ..
Bloody Mary ..
Bloody Mary ..
Do you wear red ?
And covered in blood ?

She looks eerily familiar,
I've even seen that attire ..
Can't look away from her eyes,
Only blood she cries ..
She can't be in my house,
She can't be my spouse ..

My heart went wild,
The cold seemed mild ..
The image began to blur,
And I turned to look at her ..
The way she did spawn,
She was gone ..

Bloody Mary! By the way, do you know that it's called Bloody Maria when the vodka part is replaced by Tequila!
